Cheap, simple, registry-style marriage in Newcastle
We help couples book a low-cost, paperwork-only marriage with private celebrants in Newcastle and the Hunter. We are not a government service. We do not do big weddings. We do the legal marriage, keep it simple, and make the process easy to understand.

Why Couples Book Us
The easy way to get married without the wedding
This service is built for couples who want to be legally married as cheaply, simply, and helpfully as possible.
Cheap and clear
Our paperwork-only marriage service starts at $700, with optional extras listed clearly on the pricing page.
Private celebrants
We are private celebrants providing a registry-style service. We are not the government Registry or a courthouse.
No wedding production
No aisle, no personal ceremony, no guest-focused event. Just the legal words, signatures, and paperwork.
Helpful with paperwork
We can help you understand the NOIM, ID, witnesses, and what needs to happen before the marriage can go ahead.
Local and flexible
Choose our Newcastle CBD office or another simple agreed location that suits a short legal marriage.
Fast once ready
The ceremony itself is usually only a few minutes. The timing depends on the one-month notice period, when your paperwork is received, and our availability.
What You Are Booking
A legal marriage, not a wedding
No fuss. No frills.
No wedding. Just the paperwork and the legal marriage done properly. The legal words
You say the required legal wording, we complete the documents, and the marriage is solemnised properly.
Two adult witnesses
Australian law requires two witnesses aged 18 or over. We can help if you need witness support.
Registration after the ceremony
We register the marriage after the ceremony and you receive a ceremonial certificate on the day.
How the booking process works
Step 1: Click Get Married
Fill out the booking form so we know who you are and what kind of simple service you need.
Step 2: Pay the fee
Once you complete the booking form, you pay the booking fee to get the process moving.
Step 3: Prepare your NOIM
Use NOIM Easy to complete your Notice of Intended Marriage, then have it witnessed by an authorised witness. We can help if you get stuck.
Step 4: Send the paperwork to us
Once the paperwork is received, we check everything and work out what dates and times are actually available.
Step 5: We confirm the date, time, and place
Your marriage date is not confirmed until we have received the paperwork and checked availability. The place also depends on what is practical for a short legal marriage.
Step 6: Get married
Meet us with your two witnesses, say the legal words, sign the paperwork, and you are married.

Legal Basics
What the law requires
These are the main legal points every couple needs to know before booking.
Your NOIM must be given to your celebrant at least one month before the marriage, unless a prescribed authority approves a shortening of time.
A NOIM can usually be lodged up to 18 months before the marriage date, so early planning is fine.
You, your celebrant, and your two witnesses must all be physically present for the marriage ceremony.
Before the marriage is solemnised, the celebrant must physically meet each party separately.
You need evidence of identity and birth details, plus divorce or death documents if either of you has been married before.
Both witnesses must be adults. If you do not have suitable witnesses, ask us about witness help.
